ADVANTAGE® Oil Absorbing Cream Cleanser

There are cleansers. And then there’s ADVANTAGE Oil Absorbing Cream Cleanser, the only one with POWDERPARTICLES™ technology that absorbs oil—even after you wash. The cleanser leaves you with a soft, powdery-finish that helps control oil so your skin stays less shiny all day.
Skin TypeALL
Start with clean hands.
Use those clean hands to splash water on your face.
Squeeze a small amount of cleanser onto wet palms – a dime-size should do it.
Work into a rich lather. Place the now foamy cleanser onto your face and use your fingertips to gently swirl it around…circles, figure eights…that type of thing.
Avoid your eyeballs, but feel free to clean your neck.
Rinse thoroughly then pat dry with a towel.
Feel that soft, powdery-finish? Nice, right?
Now get out there and show off your fresh, clean skin!

This product did not solve my facial issues
I decided to try this product since i have very oily skin. I have been using this product for about a month now and i am sad to say that instead of my face producing less oil,it is producing more. I was very excited to try this product but every since i have been using it, my face has gotten even worse. I have new pimples that pop up everyday overnight and during the day as well as oil that sits on my skin. I was very disappointed in the product because i had high expectations for it.

Does help some.
I was really excited to try this product because my skin has gotten A LOT more oily after stopping birth control which has caused my skin to break out. My skin often looks like I've used some type of oil to moisturize my skin 2-3 hours after washing. I have so much oil after that time that I can go through 3 of the oil absorbing pads and still have more oil. This product will not keep your skin "oil free" from breakfast until bedtime, but it does do a good job of keeping your face pretty matte for 5-6 hours and it is still LESS oily at the end of the day. I like Avon's "That's Deep" cleanser better to keep my skin less oily. Avon's "Matte Chance" matte lotion is also great and does keep my face shine-free for most of the day as does OC8 (can't decide which I like better yet).

Over drying
I was excited to try out this product, because my face tends to build up a lot of oil throughout the day, which causes me to break out. After using this, the first thing I noticed was that my skin was dry and flaky in places I have never had dryness issues. On top of that, this product made me break out like crazy. I do not recommend using this, it doesn't clean your pores or effectively remove oil.

The Oily Fine Print
I loved how my face felt after washing since it didn't over dry my skin like most products. It kept most of its word by saying it would keep you shine-free for 8 hours. However, after about 7 hours, my face has never been more oily. The "oil absorbing sponges" basically make more oil on your face later. It also didn't make any pimples on my face better. I was so disappointed after months of use.

Pretty good product.
This product does a pretty good job of making my face feel very clean and oil free for at least few hours afterwards. It's very creamy and is easy to massage onto your face, so a little bit goes a long way. It's also very easy to wash off afterwards so you can use less water trying to get the places with product still on. I usually get an oily t-zone/forehead and even get a little oily on the rest of my face as well, but after I use this product it's probably a good 3 or four hours until I start to get oily again. Maybe in the future they can make it so it lasts longer. I recommend this product to anyone who has problems with oil on any part of their face. I've only used it a few times though since I've been recently using the clean and clear three step skin care routine which also works great.

Product did not work for me.
I have always struggled with oily skin and the fact that this product contained powder particles drew me in. I always read that you -shouldn't- use anything that is oil-absorbing because it causes your skin to produce even MORE oil. Obviously, I ignored that advice and this product did just that -- it made my skin waaaaaay more oily than it ever was to begin with. It smelled great and the texture felt awesome, but unfortunately, it just did not work well on my skin type. I'm going to stick to using my favorite: Clean&Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser (which is also oil-absorbing, but works perfectly for me... go figure).
